Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein. Undoubtedly, the main attraction of the city is, the Castle of Vaduz, official residence of the Prince, located on a plateau from which you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view. It has been the property of the royal house since 1712 and for this reason, its interiors cannot be visited. Tourists, however, are allowed to wander around the perimeter of its gardens and admire it from close up, the woods surrounding the castle make it a real fairy tale place and well worth the visit. The prince's wine collection is also open to visitors at the Hofkellerie, where local wines can be tested. In the centre of Vaduz, there are several museums, including the natural history exhibition and Liechtenstein National Museum, where ancient collections, telling the history of the Principality since Roman times, can be seen. The best known museum, however, is the Kunst museum of modern art, full of exhibitions within a fascinating modern structure.
