The Old Fort is the oldest building in Stone Town, built by the Omanis in the late 17th century to defend against Portuguese attacks. Its massive stone walls, towers, and inner courtyard have been preserved to this day. Today, the fort serves as a cultural center hosting concerts, festivals, and craft markets.
