Sibiu is located near the georgraphic center of Romania. The city is an important business and cultural center. It was founded by german settlers in distant year 1190 near an abandoned Roman settlement. Until the 14th century Sibiu became an important artisan and trade center. The coutry`s first hospital, pharmacy, zoo and school in Romania are built in Sibiu. The old part of the city is preserved his look as in 19th century.
