"St Nicholas church" is one of the oldest Orthodox churches not only in Brasov but in whole Transylvania. The first temple is made of wood in XIV c. but later it was rebuilt in stone, combining byzantine and gothic style. Late baroque elements were introduced as well as a clock tower. Similar to many medieval churches "St Nicholas" is surrounded by high walls and possess solid wooden door. In the court there is a cemetery and the first Romanian school which building is now a museum.
