Built between 1867 and 1908 in striking Neo-Gothic style, Munich's New Town Hall, or Neues Rathaus, is one of the city's most emblematic buildings. Munich has many great views – one of the most beautiful ones is definitely the one from the tower of the New Town Hall. In just a few moments, the elevator takes you to an altitude of 85 metres and you can see a different highlight of the city in every direction: directly opposite is the Alter Peter (church), on one side of the tower is the Frauenkirche (church), on the other the Altes Rathaus (old town hall) and to the north there is the Italian-looking Theatinerkirche (church).
