The King`s palace is built in 1815, but it had lots of reconstructions during the years. Today here is the National museum of art, which was hosted in the building after WWII. They exhibition is showing the stored collection of the king`s family and a rich paiting exhibition showing the development of romanian people during the centuries. There are some paintings by famous western european artists. During the riots against Chaushesku regime in 1989 the building suffered a lot but was fully renovated after.
