The new Archaeological Museum was inaugurated in 1999 and its assortment is dedicated to Hellenistic and Roman Lesvos when the island flourished.
Different mosaic floors, frescoes, statues with religious character and other discoveries from authentic Roman villas are exhibited. The building presents the historical course of Lesvos island from 2nd century B.C. until 3rd century A.C
